Our prices are typically $3.50 a square foot. Our owner and operator can come on site free of charge and measure the space. He will identify the wood and give a detailed outline of the process. The entire process takes between 3 days (for a single room) to 5 days for an entire house. The space needs to be vacated for at least three days to allow the multiple coats of finish to dry.

Hardwood Floor Refinishing
This is our specialty and we take pride in our process that has been refined for over 15 years.
Our Process
We initially sand the floor with a lower grit of sandpaper to remove any stains or deep cuts. Then, we fill any cracks or holes with a natural wood filler. Followed by a finer sand with a higher grit of sandpaper. Subsequently, the floor is buffed to smooth the surface further and then a varnish of your choice is applied. We buff and coat three times to ensure protection for the floor and to bring out its natural beauty
Dust and Cleanliness
We are the only hardwood floor refinishing company in Victoria B.C. to use the latest technology from Dyson to continuously remove dust from start to finish. The 360° glass HEPA filter automatically removes 99.97% of pollutants as small as 0.3 microns giving you peace of mind during your renovation. Additionally, any areas that are not actively being worked on will be sealed off with vinyl wrap. The entire construction area is deep cleaned after each stage to ensure the minimization of dust.

Cost
Our installation costs are typically $2.75 dollars per square foot and delivery is included. The flooring itself is purchased separately at cost.
Timeline
It is important to note that some types of flooring including hardwood may need to acclimate to the temperature and moisture of the room for a minimum of 72 hours prior to installation. Also, depending on the situation, subfloor preparation may need to be completed prior to installation. The timeline of the project varies depending on the complexity of the pattern chosen and the size of the project but we typically lay 1000 square feet of flooring per day.
Type of Installation
Depending on the flooring type chosen we will follow the manufacturers recommended installation method including floating floor, nail down, or glue down so as to abide by warranty standards.
Baseboards
The details are everything
We will install any baseboards of your choosing. We typically charge $1.50 per foot to install prefinished baseboard and we purchase the materials at cost and delivery is included in that price. If painting is required we charge an addiction $1.25 per foot to pain the boards
When installing any new floor an expansion gap is left around the perimeter of the room and baseboards are designed to keep your floor looking elegant while allowing for that natural expansion and contraction throughout the seasons. After installation of the flooring is completed we then install the baseboard. The baseboards are caulked and holes are filled to leave a seamless and continues trim around your floor. Typically 500 feet of baseboard can be installed in one day.
